A store currently charges the same price for each towel that it sells. If the current price of each towel were to be increased by$1, 10 fewer of the towels could be bought for $120, excluding sales tax. What is the current price of each towel?

答案是$3

我觉得这道题关键是没有看懂题意，10 fewer of the towels could be bought for $120这句话到底什么意思啊，买多少towel需要120呢？

请牛牛们赐教。

如果毛巾涨价$1,那么$120能买到的毛巾数量要比原来少10条。

解答，由于120=3*40=4*30，因此毛巾从$3涨价到$4，$120可以购买的数量从40降到30，正好符合少10条的要求。

正式解法则可以设毛巾单价x，120/x-120/(x+1)=10

我觉得下面这句话应该稍微改下，就好了，

If the current price of each towel were to be increased by$1, 10 fewer of the towels could be also bought for $120,

价格为P,数量为N

(P+1)(N-1)=120

P*N=120

联立求的 P=3

这个题目就是考fewer前后的变化，但是因为没有also，所以我不敢建立等式关系，楼上的那个NN，解释的也很excellent。

意思是如果价格增加了$1，花$120就会比以前少买10个，

比方说，以前花120块钱能买30个towel，涨价后120块钱就只能买20了，不知道能不能理解！！

原来是这个意思。。。我都一直按高一时要求写的函数给弄混了。。。
