Some people think we learn our most important lessons in school. Others think that the knowledge we acquire outside of school is the most important. Which view do you agree with ?

 

Nowadays, there is a hot debate that from where we can learn the most important lessons. Some claim that they learn their most important lessons from school while some others assert that the most significant knowledge they have learnt are from the outside. As far as I am concerned, this answer should depend on the knowledge what we need to learn in different periods

 

When we are at school, we have learnt a lot of basic things, such as reading, writing, speaking and so on. They are the basic lessons that we always use to deal with other things. Can we say that they are not important? Moreover, in school, we learn something that is fixed. For instance, the events that had happened in the old days, the length of the earth, the areas of the countries in the world. Based on this knowledge we become to know more things about our earth, culture, and history .these are still the important knowledge about the human and the nature. In addition, we can learn some theories about the career we will probably do in future. For example, I want to run business by myself, and in my college I have learnt many subjects about that, such as management, marketing, forecasting and so on. This knowledge is quite benefit for me when I graduate from school to do my business, because I have known the basic things about the jobs which I should do.

 

While we can learn many important things in school, we still have so many significant things we can not learning from school. Take running a business for example, if I want to be successful in my business, the theories I have learnt are not enough. Because those principals only tell me the visible regulations in the market. There are so many potential rules in the market. If I want to know those invisible things in the market, I need to throw myself into the market to get some cherish experience. Maybe some of the experience should take the cost money, or sometimes this may lead me to a failure. But all in all, I can gain some knowledge that I have got in school.

 

in conclusion, when we are students we gain a lot of important knowledge from school, which is quite useful to our future life, and when we are enter into the society, we learn a plenty of significant things from the situation where we are staying, from the people who we are getting along with, and also from the things what we are doing.
