First part of (c) is correct but not the second part.P will do bad to eco, but P can also do bad to mil. Similar inference for T.

(D) uses "it is possible, but not certain" which makes it a perfect answer -- it MUST be correct.

你从命题中是得不到certain will not suffer both的结论的。命题中唯一确定的是必然suffer economically 或是必然 suffer militarily。两者必然存在其一。隐含的意思是无论谁当选，同时存在的可能性也是有的。所以c是错误的。

由上推论，如果suffer militarily在任何一方当选的时候都可能出现，那么tucker的当选并不是必然的了。所以d是正确的答案。

这道题似乎是"不相容的选言命题"呢,所以指“两者之中必居其一”,也就是说，不存在Ｐ和Ｔ都输掉的情况.例如:一个三角形,要么是钝角,要么是锐角,but not both.

怎么都用输掉输掉，听着恁么别扭阿。咱用正常英翻中成吗？遭受军事上的损失您看成吗？

命题中当然存在p和t都“输掉”的可能啦。只不过并不certain而已。所以c是错误的。
