Tell them your career goals -- that your strong desire is to pursue a career in the field of quantitative/applied finance. Also, you can imply that you may want to do the finance Ph.d in the future (--- this point is very important, because a MBA without a MS degree can't be a finance Ph.d candidate).

 

As for the scholarship--- I think your major and career path are far more important than a small sum of money that you can get right now.

我姐姐也是申请的master，然后转去MBA了，拿到了奖学金，这是好事啊，恭喜啦。
