正式开始备考CFA一级, 翻开第一页code of ethics

I always make mistakes in this first step: 

Ho and Ha

In the case of whether the mean time is different from 3 hours, Ho is mean=3, Ha is mean<>3

In the case of whether mean is greater than 145,000, Ho is mean<=145,000, Ha is mean >145,000

In the case of whether standard deviation is 300, Ho is standard deviation=300, Ha is standard deviation <> 300

is there any rule to follow?

I always get the opposite: in the first case my Ho is mean <>3, in the second case my Ho is mean > 145000, in the third case my Ho is standard deviation = 300.

This is driving me crazy.

Usually you put the "=" sign in your  H0

and usually  H0 is the one  you want to reject

H0=0,Ha>or<0, if you reject H0, your regression coefficient is statistically significant, your selected benchmark as X is meaningful in real business term
