 [BryanZhou1]虽然removal是remove的名词形式，但是似乎与clearing不平行？？？目前认为：如果动词有名词形式，就不要使用the+doing的形式表达其名词。在此比平行优先级高！

clearing本身就是一个看起来好象是动名词的名词，其实它就是个名词，而不是动名词

你的认为是对的,比如display, flow，如果做名词用display,flowing，反而是错误的

C即使把removing改为removal我觉得也不对，..........., resulting from，分词表与前面的伴随/解释/导致的结果，这里我觉得不适合；另外，觉得怎么也没有as a result of习惯.

原来是这样啊，多谢大侠指点！原来一直认为GMAT不会考词性的，看来也说不准

我认为还是resulting from不对，伴随不能表原因。我们可以说the cottontail rebiit population has increased in recent years, resulting in...，表示伴随结果。但是伴随原因，逻辑上讲不通。

我认为是这样的：

首先，伴随是可以表原因的，相当于一个状语从句：

如：Not knowing her number, I can't call her.

    Having already seen the movie, I don't want to join them. 等等。

但是，从句中的主语应该是和主句中的相同的。（除了独立主格结构）

就本题而言，如果是：The...population...has increased, resulting from...

那么就成了，population result from..., 而句意是increase result from...
