When tossed, a certain coin has equal probability of landing on either side.  If the coin is tossed 3 times, what is the probability that it will land on the same side each time?

不是1/2*1/2*1/2=1/8么?不明白答案为什么是四分一??

land on the same side 没有指定是哪一面。三次全都是A面的几率有1/8，三次全都是B面的几率也有1/8，合起来就是1/4了。

换一个角度来看，扔第一次，无论哪一面都可以，几率1，扔第二次，只允许和第一次一样的面，几率1/2；第三次也是1/2，综合起来就是1* 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4
