I live in a big city down South. 50K per year, after tax is about 3k a month (with all standard deduction and exemption, and some other taxes). You have pretty decent living witht that money here. I gotta a new sports car (300) a month, insurance 100,gasoline 100, One bedroom 700, Groceries 250, entertainment 400, utilities 80, broadband internet+cellphone 100. I roughly save about 1k a month.
If you have a roommate, you can share expenese potentially up to 300 ( 250 from rent, 50 from broadband) If you don't go out as much as I do, you can save another 100 easily ( I go out every weekend and 3 times on the week days.) If you have a good used car, you can save another 150 ( maybe 120 on the financing and 30 on the insurance) so you can save about another 550 on top of the 1k.
lol..don't care about what other people say...after 5 years, you will have saved enough money to get a big house while other girls who have laughed you will still be hunting apartment in the summer.
Well, I agree the 2nd floor guy. You also get deductions on fuel if you drive your to your clients. And enjoy your luxury hotel and half-free lunches~~ But I did not spend so much on cars. As a girl, I spend more on clothes and purses. The brands are good, but the prices are so much lower than in my home country.
