Because I think you should do your DD to find the real data to support your conclusion before making any comment. As to the location, I can tell you my experience, I went to college in Iowa and most of the major companies do go there recruiting a couple times every year. Do you think Ann Arbor is more remote than Iowa or you think UM is not as good as any school in Iowa. If you still think location matters that much, you can check how many company recruiting in Ross vs Fuqua. I guess you really think I looked down the UM. However, I think it is an excellent school, but not in a good location. You should think about the big companies and the ones students want to go. I do see some smaller ones and startups which could not attract many candidates. And with amost 1 out of 5 or even less ratio that recuiters want international students. It is an important factor for final decision, but not just look into the BS career center report. One of the Ross guy said to me himself: 僧多粥少...... The Michigan has good job markets in auto, consulting and some mid-west like Chicago or NY companies. If LZ is very strong in interview, he would not worry about very competitive jobs, like consulting fims and top finance companies, Otherwise, think about industry and previous experiences, choices there are not so many. Duke is in the delta region, which is growing fast recently. You have your expierence. So do I. I am not from Ross or Duke. But I know some guys from either school. I just expeirenced the job market myself. I do not want to challenge your thought, but only show my choice. So, please donot just say check the #. # is just #. It is nothing for a MBA job seeking candidate. What you must state is the actual Chinese guys who get offers or not in previous years. It would be most helpful to all of those new MBAs in the forum. And I will also appreciate your # to rephrase my judgement. |
