Let me have a try, for the first one:

if it is about "noteworthy or exceptional" quality, especial is used

but if is about "distinctive" quality, special is used
What's more, let's talk about "ability" and "capability", the correct idiom is "ability to"


For the second one:

we should use "as IN" to keep the llism with "IN Hungary"
so there left only A and C
what's more, "many of which", here "which" cannot refer to the woman
So C is the best choice

10-8的D我想應該是錯在那個the capability of the respiratory system in dealing

A選項的ability比較好  另外用to表示目的才是對的

10-36則是後面的那個many of which are不好

有點怪~"~  還是答案的many of them 好一點

一點小淺見  請指教^^

记得某位牛人说过，在gmat语法中，which只能指代物。。另补充，that也不能指代人。。

第一题

capability的用法应该是：

……capability of sb./sth. of doing sth。而在D选项中最后是to do sth.，错误。同理根据capability的用法排除掉B、C两项。同时B和E中还有不可饶恕的because of的用法，在GMAT中，动词通常优先于名次，because通常优先于because of。

第二题

A、which的非限制性定语从句，应紧跟被修饰的对象，即逗号前面就应该是which修饰的对象。并且在GMAT中，which不能修饰人物只能用who。

B、肯定错误，with介词使用错误。

DE肯定错误，犯了GMAT最不可饶恕的罪过，即用like引导句子。

谈一下我的个人看法。

第一题，区别especially与specially。不从语法搭配讲，从用法和字意上将，especially可翻译成“尤为”（强调显著性）而specially可翻译成“特殊地”（强调特殊性）。这里谈到污染物，从汉语角度讲“尤为严重的污染物”符合该句句意思，因为该句并没有讲到Sulfur dioxide的特殊污染性，而讲其对呼吸系统的显著危害性。

区别ability和capability. ability可翻译成“机能”capability可翻译成“性能”。谈到呼吸系统当然是用机能。

这两个词理解对了，这道题也自然做对了。大家回想一下以前考语文，咱们什么时候花大把时间特别去准备语法了？对语言真正的理解程度是一个以不变应万变的东西。

第二题，先不看which的使用是否恰当或者指代是否明确等等。单说这个句子的主干，“妇女在中级管理层和轻工业工作”women work in middle management and light industry.

所有把work in中间加动词的选项都是错的。剩下BC，B是最容易被排除的，所以选c.
