People always emphasize that honesty is an indispensible(able)
character
(istic), however , I believe lying is acceptable in some cases. Sometimes(for example) ,we have to tell lies to avoid hurting some people (others), which are called “white lies ” in English(x). This kind of lie is(lies are) harmless, and goodwill(even benevolent). We all experience all sorts of things in daily lives, some make us happy, and some are sad(such as happiness and sadness).To somebody(some who have sensitive personality), reality is so cruel (especially in case of sadnesses). It’s better to tell them lies than let them know the truth. Imagine that an little child has lost his father, telling him that his father has gone to a peaceful place called heaven is much more gentle . Death is too scary to a little child. Obviously ,the purpose of this lie is to give the child a harmonious growing enviorment. In conclusion, I hold the opinion that there are times when lying is acceptable. This doesn't mean honesty is not necessary, and we just want to protect the people we love.
