When it comes to the argument of the effect of the grades , some people maintain that scores will encourage students to study, while some others hold an opposite opinion.As far as I am concerned,I strongly support that scores will inspire a student to study.I take this view on account of the reasons as follows.

 

 

The first point I would like to mention is that tests are tools to test how the students learn, and the scores can reflect the learner’s ability. Through the tests, especially the mistakes we have made,  we will discover the weaknesses in our study. If these mistakes can be taken seriously by us, definitely we will never make same wrongs. Obviously, a summarization after exam can get us great progression.

 

 

In addition, almost every student pursues for a better score in study. Once the student gets a mark that is not good, he will try his best to make progression.According to a survey conducted by a group of leading authorities, 63 percent of the students who have failed in the last exam will seize a second opportunity and get a much higher score .On the other side , those students who always do well in exams never want to fail, so they spare no efforts to make their scores higher and higher.

 

 

Last but not least, the tests are actually a competetion for the students. In our society, a lot of opportunities are only given to the persons who get a high score in exams. This result in a fierce competetion for the students. I hold a opinion that it is good for the students, because this kind of competetion is positive. I believe that under apt pression students could learn better.  

 

 

 

 

All that I have outlined boils down to the conclusion that grades encourage students to learn.Though some people argue that purchase for higher scores lays too much stress on students,I still think the effect of grades is positive.

If these mistakes can be taken seriously by us, ("can be" and "seriously" is not proper)definitely we will never make same wrongs. Obviously, a summarization after exam can get(give) us great progression.

Once the student gets a mark that is not good, he will try his best to make progression.According to a survey conducted by a group of leading authorities, 63 percent of the students who have failed in the last exam will seize a second opportunity(i think "do a better work in the next exam" is more reasonable) and get a much higher score .On the other side , those students who always do well in exams never want to fail, so they spare no efforts to make their scores higher and higher(since they already do well as you suggest, they need maintain their grades rather than get a higher score).

Last but not least, the tests are(provide a platform for students to compete) actually a competetion for the students. In our society, a lot of opportunities are only given to the persons who get a high score in exams. This result in a fierce competetion for the students. I hold a opinion that it is good for the students, because this kind of competetion is positive. I believe that under apt pression students could learn better.  you'd better give some examples here

这篇写的我真是痛苦啊，绞尽脑汁也想不出主干写什么。大家如果有什么好点子请提出来，谢谢~

There are times when lying is acceptable.

 

 

People always emphasize that honesty is an indispensible character , however , I believe lying is acceptable in some cases. Sometimes ,we have to tell lies to avoid hurting some people ,  which are called “white lies ” in English. This kind of lie is harmless and goodwill.

 

 

We all experience all sorts of things in daily lives, some make us happy, and some are sad.To somebody, reality is so cruel. It’s better to tell them lies than let them know the truth. Imagine that an little child has lost his father, telling him that his father has gone to a peaceful place called heaven is much more gentle . Death is too scary to a little child. Obviously ,the purpose of this lie is to give the child a harmonious growing enviorment.

 

 

For the same reason, we can make white lies to some patients,especially ones get a cureless illness. Keeping a happy mood is helpful for a patient. A recent nationwide study conducted at a university by experts shows that, 40 percent of patients who have no idea with their cancers have been cured , while  only 10 percent of the patients  knowing about their illnesses are saved. Actually, after being told that they have cureless illness, a lot of  patients feel hopeless,and then give up the cure.

 

 

Sometimes, “white lies ”are a custom in culture. At Christmas Eve, all the children expect Christmas Granpa to come to their rooms, and put the Christmas presents in the socks.This is a lie,but all the adults make this fairy real to the children, in order to give them a fantastic childhood. Undoutedly,this is nice for a child’s growing. When the child grow up, he will do the same thing and give his kids a happy childhood too.

 

 

In conclusion, I hold the opinion that there are times when lying is acceptable. This doesn't mean honesty is not necessary, and  we  just want to protect the people we love.
