The  lecturer talks about researches  that are  done recently are more close to the truth than what be done before .She says that theory in the passage was  different and inaccurate when compare to the what happened for real.

        First ,when an individual in a group acts as a sentinel standing guard and looking out for predators ,it has made it’s stomach full and it always makes itself in a safe place in order to run away immediately after giving an alarm to the other members of the group. This  directly contradicts what the passage indicates.

       Second , after the individual give a alarm ,the other members of the group know it’s dangerous now and gather together to escape .The behavior will draw the attention of the predator from the guard to the other members of the group .It  obviously increase the chance of the guard ‘s escaping.

       Third ,when a person  do some unselfish acts ,he will increase the sense of self-worth  which sometimes  are more valuable than some material rewards for people .

       As a result, the contents in the reading passage are completely disproved by the speaker.
