First of all, congrats on your Wharton invite!  I am so flattered by your compliment.  I would modestly and honestly say that my profile is solid but not sure I would call it "extremely competitive".  After seeing all the profiles posted here and on BW, I think mine is prob in the middle bucket. So I do need luck. It all depends on my competition (all the Chinese applicants pool).

I cannot stop thinking that I must have accidentally deleted my invite email...anyway, keep my fingers tightly crossed.  Cannot get damn off work for the new year  - sucks!

i dont think your competition is precisely the entire chinese applicants pool. I honestly think it'd more be young chinese women in america or europe or elsewhere overseas. Or maybe young asian women (foreign passport holders, h1 status) in america (including koreans and japanese). It'd be unjust to compare you with a 30 years old chinese guy who has worked 7 years. That is not a apples to apples comparison.

Finally... It seems most Chinese applicants will get invitations in the next two weeks, if there will be one... I guess...

Two weeks? I am afraid that the rest of us have only 4 to 5 days left, since HBS will send out their invitations until mid February.

HBS will send out invitations all the way untill notification date, yes they actually did send more than one invitation on Jan 16 for R1. So dont worry and good luck.
