11.17 scores report, experience and exam place information

thank chasedream, it is a wonderful website for ibt.

score

just saw the score of ibt

total 103 but still awful in speaking section.

much better than last time which only above 80.

main reason for improvement is that my listening skill may be increased.

experience

1. for reading section, I read the book harry potter ( last version in English). And I think this experience improve my reading speed and quantity. Also, I took GRE exam first. Those articles in GRE are more difficult compaired with those in ibt.

2. I watch TV everyday. Although I could not understand completely those shows, they did help enhancing my english listening capability.

3. I took mp3 with me everywhere and listen to delta, barron anytime when I had a spare time. Especially when you only have a time, like a month before ibt, it is good for you to focus on these practice tests because they will help you familiar with topics on campus. 

4. every details of the first writing section are very clearly clarified in ibt exam. so do not worry about the textile of  this composition. What you should pay attention to is that you should understand the lecture.  then write more about the lecture and compare with the main point of each detail in the paragraph.

5. I had used barron, delta, and kaplan to practice for nearly a whole month.  this exercise aids you to choose an answer, sometime guess an answer, very quickly.

listening skill in ibt is quite important.

exam place

I took my exam in bronx,NYC

the room is a little bit shabby and small. they use thick paper to seperate each computer. and when all exam-takers enter the room, the surpervisors log on computers randomly. so we all start ibt almost at the same time. and I finished the first two parts so early that I have no opportunity to get any information about the speaking part.

PS. when you finish your exam, remember to take your id with you.
