Any buddies hearing anything from Georgetown?  I submitted my application (on-line) on Dec. 2.  So far 6 working days already past and I have not received anything.

I am expecting a note indicating that the application materials are complete for review.  Does Georgetown send out such note?  Will they start reviewing applications without any such notice?

I received only the following note:


Thank you for your application to the Georgetown MBA Program.  This
email serves as confirmation that your application has been submitted. We
ask that you allow 48 hours for initial processing before contacting
our office with any questions related to the receipt of your application.  
We are pleased to learn of your continued interest in the Program and
look forward to learning more about you through your application. We
encourage you to submit your transcripts, unofficial test scores, and
letters of recommendation to us in a single package.

我12.1日送出的NYU，到现在也只是受到一封确认信，申请状态没有改变过。

书面材料在11月25日TNT签收的, 但学校没有通知

We have received your application, and we look forward to reviewing it.  You will not be able to change or edit your application once it has been submitted.

We encourage you to send all supplementary materials in one package, with a clear indication on the outside of the package that you applied online via Embark.  We will process your application and assemble all materials received in the weeks following submission. If at that time we find there are materials missing, we will contact you.  

It is our intention to notify you within 6 weeks of the deadline if we require any further information from you. If you have questions about the status of your application, please refer to the application instructions for a detailed chart of decision deadlines.  Your decision will be released no later than the date indicated, and your decision will be sent to the email address that you provided.

Congratulations on having completed the hard part - now we ask for your patience as we review your application!

我也一样。但是我今天写了一封信去问了，怎么查 status？ 上次那个committee的人很热情地回答我几个问题。我想她还是很乐意解疑的。不过还没有收到回信。

我从这件事里没有看到所谓的坚持正义. 申请时你不可能把自己所有的错事罗列完全. 比如看机经啊, 用盗版软件和书籍啊, 受雇主处分啊. 所以这里没有主观故意. 难到犯了错误就永远不能翻身吗?

避重就轻本身并不是错误, 没有一个申请人会说自己在公司里就是个马仔, 大家利用更多的空间展示自己的优点, 如果因此而没有提及自己的错误也并不是很严重的问题.

都在商场里混, 和雇主同事的龌龊和政治斗争有时很难用有限的文字表达. 一定要别人检讨就太苛刻了. 虽然无法判断这位受害者是否无辜, 但有一点肯定: 检举人并没有受害人的申请材料, 他并不知道受害人是否陈述了该事实. 只凭一个现象就判决为欺骗, 只不过是小人之心而已. 况且检举人在GTER的第一帖就是这一阴险的一帖, 只能说明其心理的阴暗.

我是在12月3日晚上7点多提交的，北京时间12月4日上午。也收到自动回复的信。两天后信用卡上划走钱了。

请问两位申请GT的战友，在选择面试的选项时是怎么选的。我选了by invitation only.实在是只有这个可选。会不会有影响呀？

偶的实际情况是：偶申请了面试，得到了一个候补的号码，一旦有面试机会，他们会随时通知偶的。

我是准备申请来着，但查了一下学校提供的可选地点，都离中国太远，香港都没有。就选了第三个选项。早知道我也申请一个，表明态度再说。

我的面试做完了, 在北京MBA tour 做的.都是常规问题, 就是WEEKNESS 解释了半天. 因为我说的是不能很好处理公司内部政治斗争. 早知道不说这么复杂的问题了. 面试人本来推荐我申请第二轮, 他说R2竞争小点. 在通报了我的GMAT成绩后, 他又说我可以申请R1.

shuzhen: 提议不错, 但道路坎坷啊. 呵呵.

叹气啊！其实Georgetown并不难申请，可是太多像hoechst这样沃顿的牛们喜欢用Georgetown保底，于是偶们这些真正申请Georgetown的人就惨了。

与巨牛并肩，偶愈发显的渺小。
