Which is more important, book knowledge or experience?

 

 

 

As we know, books and experience are two completely different source of knowledge. Studying in school, students should read plenty of books to acquire knowledge in all aspects, which including geology, mathematics, psychology, biology, chemicals,      geography, history, philosophy, anthropology. Experiencing in society, people could gain amount of experience, which include how to collaborate with your team members, how to communicate with your friends, even how to manage your business.

 

Generally, books not only cheap but also easy to acquire. If we want to learn something about other countries or cultures, we do not need go there to experience, just find a book about these you want to know with little expense and time. It is systematic that we learn knowledge from   books. We still could make ourselves become generalist by reading. We can not to experience everything in our life, because we have limited energy and time.

 

Practically, it is quite true that not everything is included in books, experience such as fishing, boating and skating can not acquire from book, it is impossible to master if you do not practice hard. Also, experience can make you understand the knowledge from book deeply and clearly, such as students, they are hard to get high score in a test without practice more exercises in advance.

 

Consequently, although both books and experience can give us a variety of knowledge, in my opinion, the knowledge from experience is more important. The reason is that everyone would face lots of situations in his life which include how to get along with friends, how to do sports game, and even how to get promotion in his career life. Everyone would admit the fact that the knowledge learnt from experience is very likely to be retained in our memory for a long time. Experience permeates every aspects of people’s life. Therefore, experience is much more important than books.
