do you agree or disagree with the following statement? it is more important to keep old friends than it is to make new friends?

some one has said:" you can know a guy from his accomany." this is definetely ture .but how it happans? in my oppion, the people being with each other for a long time influence his parter, so they become similar.does it do good to you life? i don't think so.

first of all, old friends perscribe you to think in an old way, in contrast, the new comers bring a lot of critive thoughts which may inspire your working or studying. in fact, i've experienced it before. once i made a project ,then i met a taughing problem that all the advices given by my friends were useless, when i was in the libery seeking for meterials, i ran into a guy finding the book as the same theme as me. so i told him about my project and problem, he gave a possible direction of the solution from a totally different perspective.thanks to him, i finish my project successfully.

in addition, new friends broad your horizon. draw your knowledge range as a circle,and your old friends' the other one. you have to commit that these two  almost repeat each other. however , draw a knowledge range of your new friend, it's clear that you have some minor part in common, and a lot of white part left to be explored.and these white areas are the knowledge you can study from him.the statistic illustrates that every two man's knowlege in the same age has 17.6% differences at least. that means the more friends you make, the more knowledge you can get.

last but not the least, new friends can lead you to a new enviroment. it's a common event that the freshman are likely to call their friends in senior school in the night. and this behavior sometimes goes extream that some collegue students can't adapt to the university and rely on the relationship between old friends.think about it, we will access severl new envirments in our lives, so we must handle them by making new friends who will give you a warm feeling.

Also, old friendship should be cherished,the seieres friends made all of us cry when it ended because everyone is touched by their deep friendship and affinity.it's hard to say goodbye to them who we used to be with everyday.

after all, i think making new friends is more important because they can inspire you, broad you knowledge and lead you to a new envirment. so make a new friend tomorrow!! you won't regret!
