Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Subjects such as art, music, and drama should be a part of every child’s basic education.

 

Subjects as art, music and drama demand a great deal of sensitivity and inspiration. The paramount task for child's education should be fostering children’s artistic sensitivity as well as creativity at the beginning of their school. Therefore, these subjects should be a part of child's basic education.

 

Primarily, it is important to instill the artistic concepts, knowledge and sensitivity into a child at a very young age. In addition, childhood is a crucial period for the education of music, art and drama. According to the neuroscience research conducted by the Northwest
                    University, children have a rapid mental development between the age of 3 and 12 at this time children can be regarded as geniuses when they becoming older these abilities disappear gradually if no related training received. Many young children reveal superb ability of creativity and sensitivity to music and so forth. If children can be trained properly they can be brilliant in these fields. In the contrast, if the child deprives of the chance of receiving education on these subjects they may find it much more difficult to acquire the sensitivity in the later stages of life. The world renowned musician Mozart received musical training at a very young age and he had already demonstrated his astounding talent even before the age of ten. Other famous musician, Beethoven and Chopin all acquire the related education very early of their age. Other skills such as math, computer skills and foreign language can be picked up later in life whereas if sensitivity, inspiration and creativity in art, music and drama are not acquired in the early age they may be difficult to appear later.

 

Secondly, it will benefit the whole generation if they can receive the relative education at their early age. Currently, many adults in my country know little about the things involved art, music and drama. I concede that due to many reasons the generations around my age are deprived the opportunities of that kind of basic education. That is the main reason those adults are quite ignorant about those areas of the. If young children can receive the basic education of art, music and drama, their knowledge structure can be much more suitable.

 

Finally, the basic education on the liberal arts subjects may facilitate the intellectual development of children. As it is well know that knowledge on different subject can shed lights on the other. Many famous scientists, politicians, athletes are also musical or liberal genius. Einstein can play violin proficiently, and he later said the musical ability impose he an alternative way of relaxation, after playing the instrument for a while he gain extra inspiration and comprehension when he came back to work.

 

To end with, music, art and drama are all very important subjects for the early education; there is no doubt to include those subjects in child’s basic education.
