LIKE表示人和物体性质上相似，AS强调动作上相似。这题意思上是人和人比较，不是他们之间的动作比较。

To: 小猪,这里做比较的是many self-taught artists 和Perle Hessing ,如果用did 就像宝儿说的他只代替begin 这个动作，而不包含后边did not begin to paint until she was well into middle age.这部分内容。而要想代替整个句子就不能用do,只好用so了。open to disscusion

另外藕还是不明白 work 是Iliad 的同位语 第一个that 是 a work 的定语从句，那么根在that 后面的that也就是另一个定语从句了，他们两个是并列的， 那么第二个that从句的谓语是pronounced， 那前边的literary critic Samuel Johnson, Pope’s contemporary又是什么成分阿？

主要是读起来太费劲，这个字怎么都跑到一起了？

我帮她整理一下：一般来说，deer ticks 在 laral stage 的阶段 feed on 受感染的白脚老鼠因此染上病菌。然而，larval阶段的deer ticks 还feed on 其他物种，这些物种都不藏匿此病菌。所以，如果其他物种（deer ticks feed on 的那些除了白脚老鼠以外）数量增加，ticks 感染病菌导致传染给人类的几率降低，相应的数量就下降了。所以，如果说：a deer tick feeds only once while in the larval stage ,那它feed on other species 之后就没有可能feed on infected white-footed mice啦。

我的作法是取非，题目的解释和小蓝一样，读第一遍题的时候觉得说得挺正确，没有什么漏洞。但是，对c 取非，那么这些deer 就会存在在其他年龄吃mice 的可能，从而感染病菌，再传给人类，这样人的感染数量也不会下降了
