I got the information from the admission office yesterday. IT department is working on the website now and some proplems may happen during this period. They will try to fix such problems and finally these problems will go away. My suggestion is when you get trouble to access the website, just email smealmba@psu.edu, and then somebody should be there to help you.

I am thinking of changing my career from science to business. However, i have never worked before (I may do a 3 month intern in bio-related industry next year).So i wonder if Smeal has ever recruited any MBA student with no or very little working experience. Is there any chance if i get a good Gmat score with 3-month intern experience? Thanks a lot!!

The question is, how do you compete with people who have 3-5 years of experience?

Well, there are some students directly from undergrad.  However, MBA is more of professional training than education.  Therefore, previous experience can, to large extent, help understanding the learnings in class.  Without working experience, it may be much less likely that ppl can get those "Aha" moments.  Like pumpkin said, it is possible to get admission.  But that shouldn't be your purpose.  You need to think about how MBA can help you in your career and life and when is the good time.

I also know that working experience is of great value to MBA training. But the only reason I want to quit biology is that we have very little chance to find a job after graduation. Some people in this filed end up doing postdoc for more than ten years with an annual salary less than 40k. SO you see now i am in a arkward situation here: i wanner quit coz i cannot find a job; MBA could help me find a good job but MBA requires working experience.....

Since MBA is not that suitble for people with no w/e, i am considering an alternative way: get one business degree first, then find a job and finally go for MBA if necessary . 

I noticed that Smeal does offer such degrees: Master of Manufacturing Management and Master of Professional Studies in Supply Chain Management. I know w/e is also recommended for these two master degrees but the requirement seems not as high as MBA. SO could you give me some info about these two programs? Can people land a job after they graduate? Also does smeal offer other master degrees besides these two? It looks to me that all other master degrees (like master of finance) are included in MBA and they are just different directions in MBA training, right?
