Throughout history, man can not live without neighbors. It also causes a difficult problem that which kind of neighbor do we want? He/she can be gentle, warm hearted or hard working and so on. While as far as I concerned, the qualities of helpful, respectful and community-minded will make up an ideal neighbor.

Neighbours are the nearest people we can turn to for help for the simple reason that we live close to each other. No one can deny the fact that everyone will face a lot of unforesee emergencies, at that time, neighbour's help will of great importance.For example, if there is a robber trying to break in my house, neighbor can tell me secretly by phone which enables me to do some protection. Another case is that if the children were in dangerous situation, a neighbor can alert them away from it. A helpful neighbor will benefit us a lot and make life easier.

In sense that they are the nearest people to us, respect is needed. One should be respected, respect is the foudation of any relationship, whther among friends, colleagues and familiy members. It is human nature that everyone has his/her own privacy, which one is not willing to let others know. Only by respecting these privacy can neighbors have a nice relationship between each other.

Last, but not least, as we all live in the same community, the idea of public consideration will be prefered. No one would like to wake up from the noise of neighbors'. As there are a lot of public places between neighbors, the neighbor who can do some favor to the public will be popular,such as do some cleaning in the public places. All these will help to develop a harmony atmosphere in the community.

Maybe we can not choose the neighbor we like best, but we can try to be a welcomed neighbor ourselves. Do what we want others do, let others feel our love for them and we all can live a happy life.
