nnm, thank you so much for your reply.  That's a relief.. I read on a previous thread where someone mentioned that the classes starts at around 8 and basically you'll run into appointments, seminars, activities all day till 10 or 11 pm.. if this is the case, how do these young parents deal with it?  dont' their wives complain?  I'd really hate if the family life would affect the school work / social life since this is such a intense course... any stories to share?

-- I myself is single

-- you should be prepared to be busier than a regular job

-- most of the weekends are garanteed

-- you don't need to stay after 5 or 7pm if there is no seminar etc held, but you definitely have to do lots of homework even when you get home

-- partners can and are encouraged to stay at campus i.e. having lunch or reading in lib or participating in some events

Does anyone have or can refer to any examples of "actual" reference letter coming from some applicant's 'customers'?  I'm going to have some of my top customers to write reference letters for me, but I think it's best for me to draft out a letter for them to review and sign.  Before I draft the letters, I think looking at other successful reference letter would help.

It is nice to see my future schoolmates here. Strongly believe that the INSEAD experience will be good for me.

One question: could someone provide me with an estimate of the living expenses in
Fontaineblue? Gonna work out my next year's budget. Tks in advance.

for the expense, i don't live in fonty but my wild guess is around 1000 euro per month.

Great point, but people do need time to gain confidence in an different working environment, speaking a second language. This is clearly one benefit out of this MBA.

We should be more confident especially in front of Indian people, notablely when their PM didn't want to visit our Great Wall.

Anyway, no offence to Indian guys, I do have several good Indian friends. But somehow, we are Chinese.

hehe, the general conclusion that i got from hundreds of western friends is, for them, indians are smart, but lazy (i said general)

Dear nnm, a few questions I really need help with...

INSEAD's online application (PDF) sent me 2 links for 2 recommenders but there's only one password which I created myself. How does this type of submission avoid applicant's from writing and submitting the letter all by themselves? I'm just trying to understand from their viewpoint (besides of course calling the recommender to confirm)..

Furthermore, if I use the online application, I can ONLY submit 2 letters.. I can work with that but if I can send more isn't that better?

In the application form (PDF), I did not see a way to submit resume or attachment for work accomplishment, am I missing something?

The application form states that the school fee costs 60,000 Euros, does this include boarding, or just school fee?  How much more to you think I'll have to budget to go through the 10 months?

-- In theroy, you can always cheat if you want (would you?). the adcom will contact the recommenders for reference

-- the pdf is all you need to submit. no resume needed. tell your story in the essays and provide basic info in the pdf

-- i don't know what's school fee. the tuition should be around 50K euro. living exp could be anything from 10k to 20k euro. so budget for at least 60k although you may get some scholarship
