第一篇作文练笔： In this argument, the author concludes that his company should use the new mall in Pleasantville as a center only of outlet in order to take advantage of the success of outlet stores , of which sales have increased very fast. At the first glance, this argument is somehow plausible, but after careful examination that reveals that it is suffering with a couple of flaws.
First, the argument is lack of the very important concerns about the factor behind the success of outlet stores maybe very different from the mall in Pleasantiville. The arguer make a oversimplification on the qualified context of the success of the outlet stores. Normally, outlet should be a long distance from city, people should have to drive there, but not a short distance from the city, or even in the city. Because if the outlet is setting in the city, where people can just take a bus, or just walk to it, the outlet store will damage the normal channel of the goods which are also sold at other stores. Cause the prise in normal stores should be higher than the outlet.
Second, commen sence tells us that to make an investment only based on the success of other type of business is to be silly and dangerous. And in this case, even we can just rely on the success of the outlet stores, but we also should select the place to develop the new outlet before carefull analysis of the ideal geography place of a outlet store. For example, cause many people are likly to buy many staffs from outlet store, so that they should need a parking place to make their parking freelly, but if we setting up a outlet store in the center of a city where the parking places are very few. Therefore, the outlet setting up in a parking-unavailable place will decrease the sale of the outlet. Thus, the location of an outlet should be considered very carefully.
In a word,this argument failed to provide more reasons to strength its conclusion. It's hard to be convincing that only based on a significantly increased business , we can deside to set up a new business without carefully considering of all the success keys in the business. It do have very high risk to do that.
