i know of one intake of INSEAD students, where all the people with previous IT background was able to secure a first round interview with McK's BTO arm.  now, whether they managed to secure a first round interview with other management consulting firms, or McK's general management consulting arm, i have no idea.  i better say things clearer to avoid any future misunderstanding. 

BTO focus is on IT strategy...to the best of my understanding (disclaimer: i'm not from BTO, so i cannot say for sure).  i did chat with someone from BTO london before.

As I know, Mck BTO doesn't have a factual arm in China. Mck BTO Asia is an organization. The projects are in pan-asia areas, so the English requirement is high. Currently BTO is doing a big project for Lenovo to manage to integrate the systems all over the world. Of course, BTO doesn't do implementation. It provides strategy, planning, and overall management.
