[求助] 无工作经验的问题

一战GMAT 680 北美，没有T(四年前的CBT 237，应该过期了)

University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, undergraduate毕业, double major: business administration / computer information systems

GPA 3.2, 最主要是没有工作经验，不知道有没有什么推荐的US MBA program （fall 08）？不知道UW Madison有没有戏？希望有经验的人指点。在这里现行谢过了。

Your GMAT score is good for 5 years.  I would recommend working for 3-4 years and then apply.  Good luck!

我还想问如果工作了3-4年之后又是什么情况?能够申请什么样的program?（what's the difference in terms of the rank of the program?）

我现在的情况有希望进us news里面前50的B-School吗？should I try? or i will be way better off to get some work experience first?

what's your purpose of getting into a business school? find a good job? or just for the sake of having the MbA degree?

一般来说如果某个MBA program写明不需要工作经验的就是骗钱的. 读完后只会让你更难找工作.

你想一想, 公司请MBA是做管理阶层的一员, 如果你是公司老板你会请一个没有工作经验的人来管理吗? 如果你是申请entry level的工作, 别人看你是mba但申请entry level他们觉得你自降身价肯定不会好到哪里.

就是这么一个尴尬地位, 所以说你还是听版主说先工作三四年再读吧.

MBA也好，a good job也好，据说现在马上工作很难拿签证（我现在是F1 OPT status想转h1），希望混个master读，据说容易一点。既然要混就想混个好一点的，所以……

anyway,大不了回国混，混个几年又可以再出去。只是到那时候就老了。实在不知道该如何选择。我只知道最终目的是赚美金，先把老爸老妈出的学费赚回来（赚人民币不知道要到什么时候），然后在有多少赚多少……

据说好的MBA也是一种历练，self growth。我的看法是越好的MBA program越是能self growth，不管你原来是什么程度。学完之后，也能更好的赚钱，为祖国四化作贡献之类的……

PS. yaoyao99, gmatslave 和 ssxia 说的有道理，我还是再考虑一下吧，只是这工作也要management level的吗？考虑到个人能力问题，两头郁闷中……

BTW， rumors说business的undergraduate major有助于work experience问题，不知道有没有这回事？为什么？

没有听到这回事。我从前的室友是BUSINESS 的UNDER，没有这个讲法。而且UNDER基本很难找到SPONSOR。

1. It depends on what you do during those 3-4 years. 

2. Don't know until you have tried.  Anything could happen.  It's for you to decide whether this is the best thing for you at the moment though.  We recommend gaining some work experience but it's still your choice and your life at the end of the day.
