简单讲分析:

1.while有对比的意味.而as无此含义.

2.即使是E,也是used to pay比较好. 而且with哪有这么用的?这么用就好象是做主句主语company的状语.

而且换个思路:

1.由代词it可以排除ABD.

2.C.E中,如果是E项,则是The comapny do....,because.....,as.......这明显错误.没见过这种句子结构!所以排除E.选C

1.while有对比的意味.而as无此含义.

2.即使是E,也是used to pay比较好. 而且with哪有这么用的?这么用就好象是做主句主语company的状语.

而且换个思路:

我觉得用while和用as都可以...

因为都有对比的含义...而且也都有同时进行的含义...

可是语法笔记上说“while表示“而，然而”是对比两件事情，as做连词表达的是"当...是，随着"，的意思”

而且我认为while在此应该是做转折“但是”的意思...而不是做让步，只有在句首while才是做让步的...

hmm...E中的as好像不對:
- 如果要說as是"随着"的意思, 句子的meaning就很怪
- 如果要說as是"比較"的意思, 句子的meaning就很怪, 因為比的東西不match...
C中的while, 我覺得是表"同時"...."it was profitable only overseas"同時"it continued to lose money in North America".

我把C代入再把while改为as:

The computer company registered a $16 million net loss for the year, largely because it was profitable only overseas, where much of its profit went to pay higher taxes, as it continued to lose money in North America.

去掉其中的非限定性定语从句：it was profitable only overseas as it continued to lose money in North American.

可是这么看比较双方是对等的emm...

刚才查了一下while的用法：while表示对比概念的时候，两个事物要是同时发生的。

as表示对比或许没有同时发生的意味了...
