意思是between liberal view and conservative view, 该magazine是否favor liberal view, magazine publisher举的例子是对一本书有conservative view时，该magazine找来了second review that took a strongly liberal position. 然后就说我们不是favor liberal view,而是要得到一个balanced presentation of diverse opinions. magazine publisher得到这个结论必须有一个前提，就是在先有liberal view时会不会再找second opinion(conservative view), 如果找，他的结论成立，如果不找就说明the magazine does have a liberal bias(favor liberal view).
