Professor Chen is not only a famous scholar but also a multi-millionaire. He is one of the three partners of a very succesful hedge fund.

While Professor Chen is wondering why China has so much money, I am wondering why Professor Chen has so much money. Notice that Professor Chen came from the poorest monountainous region in Hunan Changde. His success is an amazing story  due to the reforms in China in the last thirty years. Without the reform, Professor Chen would probably be picking up bullshit on dirty roads in the countryside of a hunan village. Professor Chen has come a long way.
