If you work in China, I think you had better not let your employer and coworkers know that you are leaving since you at least will stay for one year in the company before you leave. Do you really can learn much during your lunch time? I would suggest you just concentrate on your work during days and go back home earlier to work on your GMAT and appplication. I think this is the most rational way to solve this problem, even it seems easy to say that do the right thing at the right place. Actually, I am facing the same dilemma. There is a tough fight in my mind. In fact, we all know that working experience is as important as GT score, but how to banlance is a question. Sow a thought, reap an action; sow an action, reap an attitude; Sow an attitue, reap a habit; Sow a habit, reap a character; Sow a character, reap a destiny. If we want to put much more weight on the GT preperation, our working attitude will change, we may become negtive and less proactive about our work. Please don't assume the others can not figure out the little change from our performance, and also your manager will definately perceive it. As a result, they will think that you are not like this job or something negtive like that. Consequently, we will get less opportunity at the workplace. Which means we have less opportunity to get promotion, can't be a leader in a project and so forth. If we do not have any achievement in our work, how can we show our strong working experience in the essay? Some one ever said that the one who could get the top MBA admission is successful before they apply it. I think it is the best proof that how important the working experien is. So we have to try our best on our job,if we can learn from it. But another problem will be raised. Can people get the best results on both of the two different things at the same time? Even though we can balance the time frame, do we have enough energy for two tough jobs? For me, I have less confident about it. But we need to realize that Top MBA degree is not suitable for everyone. Only the one who can beat difficulty and possess tough characteristic. Everyone will meet setbacks and frustration in our whole life. If we can not solve this kinds of dilemma, we won't get final success even we got the MBA offer. So how should I do? The answer sounds simple, do the right thing at the right time at the right place. Put all my concentration on the work when I am in the working hours, maybe 9AM-5:30PM. When I am off duty, I still have approximately 6 hours to do what I dream to do. I think it should be enough. One said the secret of success is constency of purpose. If we keep pursuing this two targets, I think we can get satisfaction on both side. Compared with just focusing on one side, this solution seems competitive. However, it may take longer time. And also, we still have family、friends and a lot of other trivia to cost our energy. But these are all resistable, if I want the top MBA degree what I can do,and the only thing I can do,is to try my best to balance. I don't know whether my opinion is right. Just post my thought and share with you. Hope can get your suggestion on this. |
