More trivial problems but not necessary ones with easy solutions: You'll have to go pee a lot and experience other bodily reactions when you're pregnant; you'll have to go to various exams in a foreign country and make important decisions throughout; your parent/husband will be dependent on you even though you're depending on them to help out; you may or may not have problem locating things you are familiar with and that can be very frustrating especially when you are pressed for time and money; Problems that may require careful consideration on your end: How do you want your classmates to remember you? Are you willing to give up a significant amount of your social life in school? Can you go back to China immediately after graduation and carry the financial burden (assuming you are taking out loans)? What would the U.S. citizenship really mean for your child if you'll raise him/her in China? Good news: There'll be a lot of F2s with kids who can help you out, with babysitting and tips to get you through the difficult time. The school should be very supportive as well, more so than a regular employer. |
