我们第一学期的core finance就讲WACC。这个不讲，advanced finance从何谈起啊。其他学校也应该讲吧。这个不知道夸张了点。

Deferred tax这个东西，没有会计基础的同学即使学了一点，也不会有太大sense，情有可原。

1) I think the point Yaoyao is trying to make is it's a mutual selection process both for the employer and for the students; so on one hand, you do have the right to comment their skills, and their preparation, etc, but on the other hand, i personally think you should show your appreciation to their interest in your company as well. sometimes, interview questions are hard to predict, therefore, if you throw questions like WACC or deferred tax to a non-business background students, i am sure not every one will behave cool in the interview.

2) it doesn't matter what company you come from, i guess it's because your ID is icbcbj, that people mistakenly think you come from icbc or some bank associated with icbc

3) i personally don't think the understanding of WACC or deferred tax can tell anything, most banks hire students with various background, some even never touched accounting, finance; that's why banks will organize trainings to prepare them for their career.

我想LZ自己可能并不知道自己为什么进了你现在的公司。Maybe top ones, like Goldman or MS or ML. 可能是因为你懂得什么是deferred tax,什么是WACC。

But everybody could know that if spend half an hour to read the books.

以前的一个老学长说的很对，能进Banking的很多人可能只是比别人懂得几个专业术语，多懂得一些market news. such things is"学的来就知道怎么做" - 而banking就是属于学的来就知道怎么做的事情。有几个banker出来告诉大家你们在做什么？ Associate在做什么？ 估计说出来大家就会说－“哦，不过如此，有一个月的training我也会做”所以做banker并没有什么了不起的。But many things are "学得来还是不知道怎么做" just as MD on its strategy development for the company. 我想LZ也应该没有达到这个境界。candidate问你的这个问题你回答不上来你自己应该做反思了。至少你被人问后回去应该好好想想。但是从你的态度上看，你没有。MD不是因为他当了MD以后才会想这个问题，而是他在当MD之前就反复想了这个问题才导致他能当上MD(当然是部分原因）

虽然那两个个candidate英语说的不好，并且申请banking不知道什么是deferred tax 和WACC是很不应该。但是知道了也并不说明candidate有多优秀。

大家知道被B-school录取的很多人就不一定优秀，LZ想必也知道这个事实。 LZ可能不是出身这三个学校，或者可能被三个学校据过，借此机会发一下怨恨也情有可原。

我不会歧视那些不懂得自己知道知识的人，因为我觉得知识都是学的来的，很简单。如果LZ鄙视这样的人，估计是认为学会这些东西很难学会。 这样看来，你也不过是百步笑九十了。
