以下是引用icbcbj在2007-4-3 17:38:00的发言:前天晚上电话面试了3个申请summer associate的MBA学生,一个哈佛的,一个duke的,一个Michigan的 duke的英文太差,基本无法表达自己的看法,问其what drives you to pursue a career in banking. 答曰:i am totally ok to work 80-100 hours a week...mute键一案,大家在这边狂笑。对亚洲资本市场重大事件基本一无所知,就知道icbc ipo. 最后问其有什么问题,居然是,你觉得if i fit your company...只好答曰:our hr people will let you know soon 哈佛的这个也差。不知道什么是deferred tax. 对亚洲资本市场动态一无所知。dont know how to calculate WACC...无言。。。 Michigan的找个英文好些,但对亚洲资本市场也知道很少。知道什么是defered tax, 比较一下,就pass这个了。最后问其有什么问题,曰:请对你们公司的整体战略做一评价。。。无言,只好说,think that is what the MD should worry about... Pal, are you sure not kidding? Wondering why they cannot understand the basic English sentences? One explanation is that under enormous pressure, as well as the poor quality of long-distance call voice, the students could hear you clearly. Frankly speaking, cannot believe they can go through 2 years' MBA life in US top programs. Or any other possible reasons, say the pronounciation of the interviewers? ... Just a guess.... |
