"No pains, no palm; no thorns, no throne; no gall, no glory; no cross, no crown." said by William Penn, tells us that the road to success is somewhat arduous. And there are two main roads to success: to plan it carefully and to take risks. If I were in the conjuncture of these two roads, I will probably choose the way full of risks. In the following discussion, I will provide reasons and evidences to support my viewpoint.
Nothing can weigh heavier than creativity when refers to taking risks. From centuries ago to nowadays inventions all came from talented scientists and inventors, who take risks to create them. Without their efforts, we will be living in a society similar to our ancient ancestors. We will have to use our shouts to communicate with people faraway instead of telephone, to use wood and fire to cook instead of using you microwave oven, and so on. Sounds horrible? Absolutely. If you ever imagine this situation, you will realize.
Another main reason, which is as important as creativity, is possibility. A person will never know what he can do until he tries. Taking risks does bring us infinitive possibilities. When Bill Gates dropped from his university, he never knew that he will be the CEO of Microsoft and the richest business man all over the world. But now he is, and this is an inarguable fact.
Superior as taking risks is, however, it also has some negative aspects. When we are taking risks we never know the future, and tend to encounter many difficulties. But my suggestion for you to ensure you success is prepare hard before your take risks, as people all knows "Hard work leads to success."
With all these consideration, we could easily come to the obvious conclusion that risks are ineluctable on your way to success, and to be fully prepared is necessary. |
