答案是E,可我总觉得C也说得通呀.

 voting rate 只和 the longer women had the vote 有关。

slightly more conservative 是和 voting rate less frequently 并列的，并不是voting rate 的原因

就是＂the longer women had the vote, the narrower the difference became."的意思，有一点倒装的感觉。

即：男女差异的程度取决于女人拥有投票权时间的长短。
