大家在讨论的是为什么W要POLITE DING(按你的说法)这么多人今年!

W/L上的人都很明白希望很小.拿到W/L,第一件事就是,MD,我要接受哪个哪个学校的OFFER了,我要准备交DEPOSIT了.

800个人发1100的OFFER并不能说明W不从WAITLIST上录人.如果W不WAITLIST这么多人,也许他家发的YIELD RATE比现在更低.

我相信今年从W/L上下来的人会比去年多.

DING 就直接DING了,没有原因,搞什么POLITE DING. 吃饱了撑的吗! W家需要给申请人面子吗,先POLITE DING 你一下,再真的DING 你一下.

凡事无绝对,凡事一定有原因，这是我相信的,哈哈

俺觉得,W/L越多人,说明学校对形势越没把握,

虽然我昨天挨了批评让我不要老在ＣＤ上捣乱．．．不过这么好玩的帖子不玩玩太对不起自己了．．．

Last night i saw something really really really funny on Getting the MBA Admissions Edge (google it...quite famous book...)

"...The combination of these three elements make xxx the best MBA program in the world. Just go to Wharton and try to find one student who was admitted to xxx. There isn't a SINGLE one! In contrast, here, 80% of the people had the choice, and chose the best: between Wharton and xxx, there is no competition...."

This is a statement made by a graduate from that xxx school...and published on a very famous MBA admission guide book...

It is so funny that i couldn't help bursting into great laughters for the arrogance of that student...that student was arrogant and funny coz he mentioned Wharton, but didn't really mention its biggest competitor...haha~~

However, on the other hand, you guys could understand how much heavier the Wharton admissions are concerned with their Yield Rate...

既然是论坛,大家就可以把今天也是今年W的这个热门话题讨论透. 今年WL上的人估计大都是牺牲定了,但是如果能分析出一个可信度较高的看法,肯定对今后W的申请者是有一定作用的.

那W岂不是也在冒险丢掉一些个极有可能被H,S录取的优秀人才? 就为了最后的录取率面子,而放弃和H S一争,是不是不太符合W这样牛校的风格?

If the chance to go H/S/W were equal for Chinese, W really face such risk. However, current trend is somewhat monotone in China, easy to catch...

personally, i suggest "dainius" to go diversified when attacked by Big Offers

in that case, every school will offer as early as possible to hold more student in its pool---Chinese applicants will be winner as a whole

对，发泄一通，明天高高兴兴地给有offer的学校寄deposit！ 血的教训那！！还以为沃顿很nice中国学生，现在看来no more than a game乐！~~ （就当我吃不到葡萄说葡萄酸吧 ）

运气不好而已，碰上了小年。所有w/l的xdjm，实力还是摆在那里的！去其他的学校，也一定能够excel out!
