一个弱弱的问题

OG72答案是“more than doubled”,我一直理解不了，这种结构好象不是比较，但用more 修饰动词似乎很难理解啊。

Answer is C
我想应该理解成 more than doubled number......难道省略了？

谢谢大家的援手，我知道在句中是修饰的关系，可more than在做比较时, 确实不理解怎么可以修饰动词字典中给定的比较，也是后面跟adj/adv/n
