It is widely known that Wharton interview questions are nothing hard (see their website for Qs). It also seems that Whartonites usually are not the pretentious or arrogant type. On campus, Hub or alumni don’t make too much of a difference. My personal belief (which could be wrong) is that your chance of getting in Wharton has already been pretty much decided by your application, and you just need to do OK in the interview. Don't expect to take more than the allocated interview time no matter who you interview with. Be prepared to make your pitch within very short period of time (think like 45 seconds...) Very often it doesn’t take more than a couple of minutes for any interviewer to make up their mind, and the rest is basically finding more evidence to support their opinion. Try to anticipate and direct their questions if you can. If your time permits, pick whoever you think might be relatively more interested in hearing from you. Consider gender, occupation, age, and cultural background etc. Avoid those who you think might have preconceived negative judgments on people like you. I’m getting non-PC now, but you want to play safe when you’re so close to what you want. Good luck. |
