[求助]請問ESSAY裡的career goal

如果之前的工作經驗主要是Big 4 裡的auditing 經驗

而ESSAY裡寫MBA之後想轉consulting工作

會不會有點不切實際?

會不會反而讓學校admissiom committee 的人覺得unrealistic??

Do you have a good reason for it?  Any stories to back up that motivation and demonstrate your ability to succeed in consulting?

I think you need to be confident about yourself. I do believe if you have big 4 experience, you can join most industry (probably not marketing unless you can demonstrate that you are very interested in marketing). I know many people with technology background joined consulting - strategic consulting pay more attention to your thinking and logic, rather than what you did before.

I can imagine that you have the following strength for consulting:  strong financial/analytical background, communication skills (you need to face customers every day), problem solving skills (if your work need a lot of judgement) and so on. You can also give enough evidence that you are interested in consulting, judging from your friends and communcation with consultants as you might meet many consultants in your project or even work with them for your clients. I recommend you to read more about consulting before you PS so that you won't make basic mistake.
