I am a native of Hong Kong. For the past 14 years, I have lived in the US. I spent 3 years in Oregon, 9 years in Philadelphia, and about 3 years in Boston. I consider location that are remote or far from big cities tend to be 民风纯朴, such as the state of Oregon. However, you may not like it because the people are very conservative and do not like people from outside. You can feel it when you are there. Therefore location like these may not be the best for you. People in the big cities may be rude although this is not necessarily the case. However they are used to people of different countries of origin and ethnic groups so that you can blend in more easily. |
