以下是引用suncola在2007-9-3 20:09:00的发言:To redwavezheng 1. Columbia is more selective than most of the others, based on the admission rate published. But I don't quite understand what you mean by same level. Usually low admission rate means "selective". When same amount of ppl want to apply, less ppl got admitted to CBS than other schools. Location advantage is one thing helps CBS, just as how ranking helps Wharton, alumni network and teaching help HBS, silicon valley helps Stanford. 2. You yourself decide if your international exposure is enough or not. Ask yourself if you are ready for MBA, instead of me. Many ppl without any experience abroad or at MNCs were admitted to great schools. Very hard to quantify the admission creteria. Guess no one could give an accurate 1 to 10 rating abt how successful you would be in application. To be honest, all of the above is not really relevant to your application since you have done your school selection. For CBS I would really recommend early decision and deadline is coming - Only abt one month to go. I wish you have almost done with your essays and recommendations now and hopefully you can finish your second review by the end of Sept. All the best and hope I could help once you get admitted. Suncola: Please justify my understanding. For international applicants, only two options: 1. Early Decision: Deadline: Oct,10,2007 (one question here: If i take GMAT on Oct,8, Could I apply before deadline of early decision?) 2. Deadline: Mar,3,2008 Any difference betwee these 2 rounds? Any advantage for early decision(from past experience) for international applicants? Thanks! Columbia is my priority and I think I am qualified for it. |
