I remember one guy used to have such an idea, but he was gone because of insult from a girl.

On the other hand, I guess those first year PhDs are much into the coursework and don't have energy and motivation to do such things.

It may take some time for them, but may not that much since only much fewer persons are applying phd.

We can make it an tradition. Anyway, I will manage to do it if i'm accepted somewhere.

多谢snowfiled的建议！狠高兴看到有人愿意为phd版出谋划策 我也狠愿意跟大家探讨一下。

其实关于校友答疑，在本版建版之处就有建议。后来没有实施的一个重要原因，在于PhD申请的特殊情况:

1. 规模效应。众所周知phd申请人数和录取人数都狠少。

2. 申请特征。按照学校划分，还不如按照专业来划分。我觉得同一个专业的申请人之间的信息互助，应该比申请同一个学校的不同专业之间的人来得更加必要。

我最近的构想是按照专业来划分，大家可以交流选校，申请，教授，以后以后作为博士生之后，交流学习经验。

想听听大家的看法 欢迎讨论！

I understand the difficulties we are facing. However we still can try to overcome them step by step. Personally, I think both method should help definitely. The following two issues are of crucial importance to efficient communication:

1. articipation of those in Phd programs already, at least their correspondance. I believe their suggestion should be very valuable to us, esp. when we are comparing and selecting programs.

2. Discussion of our fellow applicants. This can be grouped by specifications. This will be more helpful in the process of application.

This may not be a big circle, so we will be connected together closely as we are involved.

同时，也很赞同ProfCPA斑斑的建议按照专业来分类，毕竟相同专业的phd所给的建议会更有针对性，对学校的要求和分析也会比较相似。
