各位同道中人,大家好

      看到大家挥汗如鱼,刺骨悬梁考GT,而后又为申请犯忧,再以后又有很多新的挑战,感到人生真是充满艰辛,但却不乏快乐,在这个论坛找到温馨,朋友的帮助,斑竹的提点，也许这也是我在近日下决心出国读PHD的原因之一.

      小弟我本科成都电子,GPA比较一般,在一家外资企业做程序员2年后,考研来到上海财大,马上开学读一年级,准备利用半年左右,完成GMAT和TOEFL考试,在07下半年申请英国和香港地区经济系的PHD.

       也许我的出身平凡,对于什么是做研究知之甚少,但姚明的一句话永远激励我: 努力不一定成功,放弃一定失败, 愿意随时接受朋友们批评教诲,希望我们的愿景能早日实现.

我本科GPA 比较低,这对以后会有影响,但是读硕的时候GPA较高会有所帮助把

To me, I think Shanghai is good, at least  you have more opportunities to accumulate the experiences in the industry. To do research is quite a different thing, however, wish you make a good choice!

I am going to ask you the same question as I asked other friends, why do you think you need a PhD rather than working for a few years upon graduation?

Do you know the career path for Ph.Ds? Are you really interested in doing research?

Do you know how the professors do research in England or Hong Kong?

    I believe I am the person of great interst in the career of teacher ,thus ,a PHD is prerequisit  nowadays.Communicating with students and preofessors,esp. with masters ,could bring me insperations on the subject.Additionally,campus life is comparatively leisure,and I don't think the work under much pressure in a company really fit me.

   For a long tiome,I deemed that good PHDS should follow this way,learn the former thoeries,question these theories ,shape their own thoeries and try  to make them applied in our life.  Eventually ,they got the ablilitie as their instructors to explain the economic phenomenon in their own ways,

   Generally, I don't know their ways of doing research ,but I do know their targets as is shown in the 2ed part.To go abroad ,for me ,may broaden the horizon,and help me learn something beyond languige and specialty.I think it is necessary.

Thank you ,today,I found more universities require a satisfied GRE score.maybe I have to change my plan
