[whatup!?]如何描述科研经历？

处男贴，见笑了。

想问一下，对于科学背景的mba申请人，如何把科研经历转化成有效的工作经验呢？

在科研领域描述achievements的无非是文章的数量和发表刊物的影响因子；那么对于mba学校来说，影响因子这样的东西容易理解吗？如果要包装科研方面的accomplishment的话，重点应该包括哪些呢？

your technical experience certainly qualifies for great work experience, if you focus on demonstrating your leadership during the technical research. adcom doesnt really care how many papers you have published and how many times they have been cited. if you want to convince them you're great researcher but nothing else, then they want to convince you that you might as well stay where you are.

in a nutshell, don't overkill when you talk about your technical accomplishment. elaborate your career goals clearly, show your leadership and, with your technical background, explain "why mba".

Why MBA is necessary if you already have such achievement. If your major is in Math or Physics, it may help you somehow.

thanks a lot for the opinion! i never thought about it this way and you really have an great point which i've always missed! maybe i put too much focus on the so-called accomplishment, and forgot about the real achievement in leadership.

sorry i'm a bit confused. you mean Math or Physisc major can help w/ the application, or these majors could have done the training similar to an MBA?

i thanked his kindess but didn't accept his offer, really. those who know me well can tell i'm extremly homophobic - physical contact between other guys and me doesn't go beyond hand-shake. ok, ok, i'm going too far on this board for mba hopefuls.
