按照以往的做法，可能会直接回答fanfan这个问题：不可以。

但刚才查了下语法书，还真学到点东西。我稍作总结，如下：

不可数名词主要有几种：集合名词、物质名词、抽象名词。

集合名词——例如：furniture, information, equipment, advice, etc.  如果要表示“一件”这类概念，把不可数变为可数，就要在前面加"a... of" 这种定语，如：a piece of furniture/equipment/advice, a bit of information, 这种定语也常用于物质名词和抽象名词。

物质名词——指不可分成个体的物质，通常是不可数名词，没有复数也不能加不定冠词a/an，但有些特殊情况：物质名词前加a/an表示“一份”、“一种”等，如：I'll mix a salad.一盘沙拉；It was a wonderful tea.一种好茶；The region has a beauty of its own.一种美。

抽象名词——指一些抽象概念的名称，通常是不可数的，没有复数也不能加不定冠词a/an，但有时可加不定冠词a/an，如：It is a pleasure to work with you.  The visit was a failure.  His son is a great trouble to him.

不知道说清楚没有，但对于fanfan的问题，我的结论是肯定的，只不过意义不同了。

BTW上次那个1比2小用smaller,less,还是lower有结果了吗？

我问了一些网友，有些支持less，有些支持smaller,个人还是认为因该用smaller

1）句子原意：remain divided的有两件事--whether significant warming will occur和what impact，所以要用and，排除CD

2）虚拟语气：would+动词原形have，表对将来的假想，排除ACD

3）固定搭配：divide over，排除AB
