错选E, 读不出A的句子结构,以为应该用倒装…

 

 句子其实不复杂，使两个it从句的并列，it...that …..., and it…that …….. 第一句开头的it是指示代词，指代后面的that，然而that 从句里的it指代the Washington post, 非常复杂。第二个it中的its指代the paper.

至于选错，我觉得有两个问题，第一，没看清A的结构，其实非常工整

第二，E中把句子中心混淆了。把并列句改成了主从复合句。还有逻辑关系，moving 的逻辑主语是the Washington post, 但是能用主动吗？我觉得好像不太对。至于after k ‘s becoming, 这个结构太奇怪了，没动词啊

我自己尝试着选了一下，竟然就选对了，但还不知道怎么对的，唉

Argue that traits are not ……….., but are…….,明确比较对象

有了are可以指明对应关系，只两个句子在比较，不是两个名词或短语

Biological Traits are not the product of natural selection, but (biological traits) are simply random by-product

最后总结一下，只要是比较对象是两个句子，都应该加上系动词来明确俩比较对象，

我感觉这两个题在OG里都有很相像的题，真的，真的能看到OG的影子

谢谢大家的回复讲解，第一个明白了，但第二题还是不清楚。

总觉得是not..., but... 中间的东东只是定语可以忽略不看。

觉得平行上没问题，因为都是名词：products, by-products...

再仔细琢磨一下。

To littlecase：你找那个PREP专栏，里面有如何调出新题的步骤。我今天把原来的都删除了，但没有重新下载，因为我有要求寄来的光盘（应该和重新下载安装差不多），安装了之后做题，数学的第一题就是重题，耐心继续做，后面几乎没有重题了，挺好的。但还是做得一踏糊涂~~~~~~~~~，还是找不到PACE，做到后面的题都没时间细算，错一堆。整个慌慌地。（还打算再练几遍，就为了数学）

语文部分：语法的重题比较多，也可能是因为我做了80道PREP-SC了吧；阅读有一篇GWD的（但题好像不完全一样），有一篇上次PREP上的（照错不误），另两篇都是新题；逻辑和以前差不多，一半OG一半新题吧。

作文啊！现在一想起来心里就发紧，今天PREP前想写两篇作文，结果憋了半天只能写200多字，一个例子也举不出来。。。

两道今天没解释掉的PREP语法题, 请教一下....

 

 

刚才看错了，这道题的确比较tricky，如果中间没有"favored..."就选C了,是not...but...结构。但是它前面有的because从句这就需要好中选优了，因为because they enhance reproduction or survival, but simply random by-products of other evolutionary developments. 可以理解成因为他们提高了 reproduction or survival，除了简单随机的by-products of other evolutionary developments.于原文意思违背。这里but不做连词而做介词当except讲，GMAC出题越来越变态了，难怪GWD和真题有差距～

这里还有一个问题就是一般but当介词时前面都不加逗号的，但这里有个逗号，

差点被误导是not...but结构。

楼上解释得很清楚，原句but是连词，c选项变成了介词。

同样我感觉not...but结构最好不要放逗号,否则我们无法区分but究竟是介词还是连词。（虽然not only...but also中间可以出现逗号，但是它不会引起歧义。）

而且我感觉not...but只是一个简单的并列结构，c选项又加了状语从句。 导致这个but处境很尴尬...

谢谢leoozop和涂墙的解释！这题就这样过了吧，比较费劲的。。。

今天第三次PREP模考，数学有点进步，48分，但PACE还是很乱，老看时间。刚才看了一下错题，犯了一些算是粗心的错误（考的就是这个吧？！），写下来，大家注意不要犯（可能也没人像偶这么笨的了！）

1、设了等腰直角三角形的直角边为a，求出a来就选了答案，其实问题是问斜边！！

2、忽略了题目中的条件角x和y分别都小于90度，把大于小于的情况都考虑了，导致选错！

3、关于数字的，忽略了题目中的different！！

4、题目中的条件是more than twice，结果当twice来算，选的倒是快！！！

5、题目给出的是standard deviation一数，竟然按average来算了。。。。

还有几个不会的和看不懂的，谁有空帮帮忙吧？在下面这个链接18楼。谢谢！
