To prospective Yale applicants

Hi, I am preparing for the R2 but can not find the e-version brochure of Yale MBA. Anybody here can help give me a link? Thanks a lot!

angelene2000, is the lady a second year student or a adcom member? I interviewed with a second year and he seemed not quite understand or interested in what I mentioned for my career.

我觉得学校大多有抢人之嫌。看到条件特别好的，ESSay还没怎么看，赶紧让这个人面试，发OFFER，怕被别的学校要了，所以能早给OFFER就早给了，对背景不是那么突出的，当然得慢慢等啦

I don't think so. Maybe to good applicants, they want to give them interviews after the other schools have released the decision. So in this way, if the applicant will take the interview, then it means that he will accept the offer once he is admitted. Then the yield rate can be increased.

Hehe, a little AQ JINGSHEN. Maybe this is a way to comfort myself and others who haven't got the interview.

Hi, i just finish my interview with Yale this morning on campus. Just share the experience.

when i sent request to join the information section, I was denied also. But I still apply, I received the invitation two weeks ago, middle of November. Since I got invitation from Cornell this week, so I just schedule them on the consecutive two days.  Tomorrow morning, I will interivew at cornell. according to my experience, very few chineses.  In the class I attend, competitive strategy class, i didn't see chinese student. the interview only 30 minutes. I was the first one in the morning since I just called added on yesterday. The lady interviewed me has been to Beijing and familiar with what I mentioned. very quick go through resume question, what is hobby and why yale.  It suprised me that when I got in the hotel at Cornell in the evening, i received her email that she was enjoying talked to me. Usually I should send thanks note first. but she sent to me first, which surprise me. I wish it is a good sign.

for me, nothing special, 34 years old, GPA 3.1 from tsinghua, two MS in US. Senior engineer in a consulting company. GMAT740, no tofel. I didn't receive the invitation from Wharton, I figure my essays were bad because I prepare it the first.  So my suggestion is really put the school you want to go to the last one you prepare.  After I sent out first 4 schools applications, an MIT admission guy from one year MBA called me to discuss the strength in my resume from his view.  I realized I put the wrong emphasis on the first 4 schools, that is why I feel i failed. I have been dinged by Columbia Ed, wharton. I should put some good schools on second round since I am more experienced how to prepare essay now. but it is too late to correct.  I met this MIT adm guy when i visited there. I didn't apply one year MBA, but just gave him my resume, he emailed me back a few days later that he is interested in my  resume, and told me how to emphasize on my one year essays if i want to apply.  I felt so appreciated for his call. I feel that many top schools do not pay more attention on person, but more formular.  Because they cannot afford to pay attention to each one. Anyway, if you can find an insider to review your essay, that will make huge difference.  Good luck on everyone.

Competitive Strategy的老师,可是超级大牛啊.不知道你感觉如何.次君当年是Rhodes Scholar,极其聪明,写过好几本strategic thinking方面的书.今年二年纪中国学生的确没选这门课,下学期还有competitive strategy,不过是别的老师教.
