To prospective Yale applicants

真是的，就那么两篇essay需要看那么久吗。个人觉得还是wharton和chicago的效率比较高。尤其是chicago，deadline后12天开始发invitation，第一天早上9点多就发出了第一批，而且还将decision的日期提前了10多天。当然，wharton的效率也蛮高的。

一个多礼拜前就拿到yale interview了呀。在上海。我觉得倒是stanford给大陆的比较慢，不过stanford的essay没有硬性字数限制，申请的人又多，情有可原。

学校的说法是interview invitation会一直发到1月。不过我觉得如果现在还没拿到，估计有点悬啊，仅仅是个人意见，诸位不必太在意。再坚持2周。

我打算向学校录取委员会提两点意见：1。注意国际学生的平衡，比如今年印度人有将近30个，实在让我很不爽，07界印度人少多了，不知道今年怎么搞的；2。希望适当增加直接从大陆录取的人数。大陆学生太多了不好，当然如果太少，也不是什么好事情，我的想法是希望每年有6－8个左右大陆的学生，而不是现在每年的大约4个。

I really wonder the admit criteria of Yale. I see many applicants who got Wharton and Chicago's interviews, but not Yales. I think there are maybe two reasons1)Yale has totally different admit criteria from Wharton or Chicago. (2) To increase its yield rate, Yale tends to deny those who are most likely to be admitted by Magic 7.

I think how to express who you are in only about 1200 words is the most challenge for Yale. And that is the difference between Yale and the others. And no one knows who the "M7" would admit.
