24. Reptiles are widely distributed all over the world, but are much abundant in warm regions and are virtually absent beyond the tree line in the Arctic.

答案说这里面的much错了，应该改成more

可是much做为副词也可以修饰形容词阿，而且句子里也没有要用比较级的痕迹呀。

注意but的转折，如果后面还是much abundant的话就不存在与前面一句的转折关系了
