文中说mice and ground squirrels are important in the diet of many waterfowl-nest predators而又不是raccoons or striped skunks的主要食物,所以必定是other waterfowl-nest predators的食物喽~A没有提到所有的问题啊.LZ的理由不对

E.文中根本没提到songbird eggs,一看就错,不晓得大家怎样推出来的

what about B? A is good except "

发现两年前大家就在争论这道题,居然我看到的GWD答案也没把补充观点放进去。

我也赞同E,LZ两年前的分析和我一模一样，的确可以从important in the diet 和 opportunistically两个词看出来prefer small mammals,E的分析也对全文除了试验以外的内容概括的比较全面。

A 错误，文中没有说那两种动物是a signaficant source of other waterfowl predators

B是错误答案，文中没有谈到ground squirrels也吃other waterfowl nests.other waterfowl nests也不是本文要谈的主要内容。

C 偏题，是否那small mammels的生长率能够compensate for this level of predation不是本文要谈的。另外most predator也是不对的。

D 是否ground squirrels更多吃waterfowl的nests文中并没讨论。

想清楚了，VOTE FOR A，文章本身要讲的就是期待remove那些动物可以影响ground squirrels(因为他们吃ground squirrel)，继而又因为ground squirrel吃songbird nest，因此这一举动可以最终影响songbird的popoulation，但是remove了那些动物却没有达到预想的成果，就是因为那些动物不怎么吃ground squirrel，但研究者是本以为他们会吃的，继而推出实际上其他的waterfowl nest predator都是吃ground squirrel的，但是remove的那些动物恰好是例外。
